AREA INFORMATION Located in the south east corner of the town, the neighbourhood of Maidenbower was developed on farmland between the M23 and the London-Brighton railway. Bordered by Pound Hill to the north and Furnace Green across the railway line to the west, there are two infant schools, junior school and Oriel High School. There is a parade of shops for every day needs, community centre and surgeries. The popular Frogshole Farm pub, an original 16th century farm building, offers classic pub food, as does the Coaching Halt pub restaurant which lies adjacent to Maidenbower Office Park off the Balcombe Road. The 24 hour Fastway Metrobus service connects the neighbourhood with Gatwick Airport and Crawley town centre, while Three Bridges mainline station is on the doorstep offering fast and direct services to London. VENDOR'S COMMENTS I bought Stable Close as I had sold a larger property and I wanted to downsize. It appealed to me because of its proximity to the motorway, Crawley and Gatwick. Unfortunately my wife died and a little later I met a widow. We got together and I moved in with her. I decided to rent the property out. I have now decided to sell the property, which is in a nice situation with no through traffic being a cul de sac .Maidenbower shops are close by with a dentist,,doctors,and supermarket. The junior and senior schools are nearby too. We always thought Maidenbower was a very well designed housing estate,,with a good mix of houses and particularly well landscaped. If my wife had lived I would still be living there.
